A bit of an introduction

Shall we say, I'm new at this? Basically, I recently discovered that I will be going abroad next fall and creating this blog is the easiest of many more complicated steps that are part of getting ready to go. Here, I will ramble about my worries, revelations, doubts, exciting stories, etc, and hopefully a few other interesting things that come to mind along the way. I hope to make this continue past my experiences abroad because I love to write and as of yet of little experience putting my writing in the outside world. (Even if, in this case, the outside world is the internet, and is that really "outside"? Ah well.) So this is my attempt to introduce myself to the internet. Hi, guys.

The city I will be gracing with my presence with is Besançon, France. Located on the eastern end, it seems to have a lot going on in terms of culture and history. I'm particularly excited about the Museum of Time - apparently clock-making was quite the to-do here.

Borrowed from the official city website, besancon.fr. I hope to discover
what exactly is shown here once I arrive.
I honestly don't have much to say on the city yet, having only read the wikipedia page rather than actually visiting. There will most certainly be more interesting things going on here in a few months. Nonetheless, I hope to get into the habit of writing now so it is less of an unfamiliar task later on. With all that said, let's get started!
